$10: Pays for two distemper vaccines that kittens need to be protected. It could also pay for one rabies vaccine, a small bag of food, a couple of bags of treats, or LOTS of awesome toys for the kitties!
$25: Pays for 5 distemper vaccines, or two distempers and a rabies vaccine (standard care that all of the cats need!), one FIV/FeLV test and a vaccine, or one round of antibiotics for a kitty with an upper respiratory infection. It could also pay for a big bag of food or two, canned food and KMR for kittens, or a couple of fuzzy beds for our kitties in stores.
$50: Pays for the standard care that one male cat receives at our “spay days” – neuter, vaccines, and microchip. This could also buy several comfy beds and blankets for cats in stores…or a whole lot of catnip!
$100: Pays for the minimum standard care given to female cats in our program – spay, vaccines, microchip, FIV/FeLV testing, and two rounds of dewormer (although the cats would probably rather spend it on treats instead of dewormer!). It could also pay for diagnostic tools for sick cats such as fecals, urinalysis, or blood work.
$300: Pays for 5 spays or 10 neuters! We normally spay/neuter about 25 cats per month. This could also pay for about 20 FIV/FeLV tests, which all cats that come in our program need to have. It could also pay for care on a sick cat if they need an x-ray or more advanced blood work done for diagnosis.
$500: Pays for minimum standard care on 5 female cats, all of the vaccines needed for 25 cats, or certain more specialized surgeries on sick cats. It could also by a month’s worth of food and litter for about 25 cats!
